David Webster MSAI

David Webster started his career in civil engineering and construction, through this he learnt in great detail how buildings fit together. This skill and knowledge in the structure of buildings can be seen in his paintings today. David has always admired buildings; their shapes, their individual characters, how they change with perspective, light and shadow and so it seemed a natural progression to paint portraits of them.

David’s style gives architecture a slightly quirky treatment. His drawings are a unique mixture of visual accuracy and detail contrasted with a cartoon like quality.
