Nigel Gilbert MSAI

Nigel Gilbert began his career as an architect specialising in concept design and graphic presentation. During this time he also taught studio design at the Liverpool School of Architecture.  Encouraged by the celebrated critic and author Martin Pawley, this career phase culminated in a series of self-illustrated essays in the international journal ‘World Architecture’ (1993-4).

Nigel has now turned his focus to his art and is currently practising as a successful  artist and architectural illustrator in Wales. His commissioned works are regularly published in newspapers and journals and notably as the permanent display panels for the World Heritage Site at Conwy. He has received two awards for Excellence from the American Society of Architectural Illustrators.
