Having gained his MA in illustration from Camberwell College of Arts, Kyle worked as an architect and illustrator for several years in London before moving to Munich to continue his career in the arts.
His long standing interests in illustration and travel have driven and influenced his work. Drawn to imagery that is dark, dense and complex it is the cities and their architecture that offer this palette in abundance. Meticulous repetitions of the hard straight lines and collisions of shape and form that is found in the city characterise Kyle’s work and elevate it to the realms of the outstanding.
Kyle has been part of the gallery’s exhibition programme since its inception alongside exhibiting with the Society of Artists in Architecture and donating work for the past two years to Article 25’s 10×10 London charity art auction. Alongside his exhibitions Kyle’s illustrations have been published widely – most recently in the Paris Review and with Winkreative – London/Tokyo.
