Post War Craft – AVR Exhibition
Part of London Festival of Architecture
1st – 3rd June 2017 ← Back to the portfolio
As part of the London Festival of Architecture, AVR/Anise Gallery presents ‘Post-War Craft: How London City Council architects redefined high-rise living.’ Through an exhibition of photography, drawings and plans, we aim to vividly illustrate an iconic era in London architecture – cataloguing the high-rise social housing development of South London in the two decades following the Second World War. This three-day exhibition coincides with the LFA launch with a late night opening on June 1st from 6 to 8pm.
The London Festival of Architecture is Europe’s biggest annual architecture festival, returning to the capital this June with hundreds of events exploring ‘memory’. The LFA and all its associated events celebrate London as a global architectural hub, provoke questions about the life of the city, and promote positive change to its public realm.
